While more experienced fishermen don’t have a problem with accommodation due to the simple fact that they can sleep almost everywhere without worrying so much, beginners are going to find this quite challenging, especially if they lack the basic survival experience required in order to be able to enjoy their fishing trips or vacation. Without insisting too much on outdoor accommodation options, I would like to mention one single thing about New York fishing. Folks, there are plenty of cabins, houses, hotels and other options that you can enjoy.
I often see people being partially frustrated because they don’t know where to stay overnight when going fishing. Their uncertainty makes it always impossible to have a really nice time because there is always something negative to think about and to create unnecessary problems. Guys, in order to avoid all kind of accommodation related problems especially when you are fishing somewhere pretty far away from the civilized world I suggest that you purchase some basic survival kits and a few tents and just throw them somewhere in the back of your car.
Anyways, I honestly think that there is no particular reason to worry about this since everything is thinking about building a certain accommodation infrastructure next to all fresh or saltwater basins that attract plenty of people from all over the world. You see, if you have the option to enjoy a nice hot shower in the evening and sleep without being worried to get rid of mosquitoes or any other bugs, I’m sure that you are going to pay an extra few dollars for a decent hotel room instead of sleeping in your own old tend. I’ve been fishing in New York for a lot of time already and I know that no matter where you go you can still find some really nice fishing cabins that you can rent. Believe it or not, but people are actually trying to make it really comfortable for their visitors or tourists. There are various freshwater basins (lakes) in New York which are extremely famous and gather thousands of people each and every season. If you visited some of them we probably had the chance to meet and even drink a beer together, LOL.

If you don’t manage to find a solution to remain overnight with all your fishing equipment in order to catch fish you probably don’t have a clue how to do it or never done it before. When it comes to leisure time and catching fish there are different aspects that you might need to pay attention to. If you go to have some drinks and relax on the coast of the ocean or near a lake, there is no guarantee that you will be able to catch anything. However, if you concentrate on catching a few salmons and you stay away overnight trying to do it, you will succeed.
People that are really about catching fish and not relaxing when doing it don’t really care about fancy accommodation. I think that real fishermen don’t need to have a really luxurious budget when it comes to their overnight staying options. Plenty of my friends sleep in their own cars when going to fish somewhere in New York and if there are too many of them they prefer to install several tents and build a fire. Anyways, fishing is something too romantic. You don’t want to ruin everything by spending a lot of money on expensive and unnecessary hotels.
Nowadays you have to be protected no matter if you are sleeping in a tent or in a rented fishing cabin. That’s why I recommend keeping your personal things safe and all the food away from accessible places. There are many wild animals which might find it pretty interesting to stumble upon your stuff and to enjoy the food and all the other supplies that you have thought about taking with you. Outdoor accommodation during your fishing activities in places like New York requires serious responsibility otherwise you can get in pretty serious trouble.
New York fishing is something really special. The places that you can enjoy catching all types of fish are so many that even the greatest fishermen of the world call this a world class fishing place. I personally never had any accommodation problems, both because there are people who are constantly investing in the infrastructure near various lakes and water basins and also because I always have a nice old school tent in the back of my car.
